Athletics and competition have been two of my passions for as long as I can remember. I played every sport I could while growing up, and have always had a little “training ADD”. In 2008, I found CrossFit while training for high school lacrosse. It provided a new and more effective stimulus than the daily bro-sesh and bodypart splits I had used for years. Since then, I have continually pursued furthering my fitness and knowledge about strength and conditioning. I received my CrossFit L1 certificate in January 2012, and have been constantly trying to improve my coaching game every day. Let’s just say I paid for seminars instead of textbooks while in college (which I still highly recommend).

Over the past 9 years, I have spent time training in several different gyms/garages/warehouses, all with different backgrounds and philosophies. This has made for a pretty diverse “melting pot” of experience. Originally from Virginia, physical therapy school brought me to NC in 2015. I found my new fitness-home soon after, with a sense of community that is second to none. Throughout this journey, I’ve found new ways to express my competitive nature in the sports of CrossFit, Weightlifting and Powerlifting (really anything with a barbell involved). I always have something to train for, and something new I am eager to learn.

I have a pretty wide variety of ways I like to spend the time when I’m not at school or the gym. In general, I try to experience as much life as possible. Quality time spent with friends and family is what it’s all about.
