We don’t always realize it, but we are constantly setting goals for ourselves. Think about it….
I’m going to put more money in my savings account this year.
I’m going to try and get a promotion at work.
I’m going to pay off my credit card within two years.
I’m going to save 5 thousand dollars to put down on a new car.
One you set a goal, you begin taking steps to achieve it. You make a point to put X amount of dollars in your savings account every pay check. You arrive at work early, stay on top of your work load and never call in sick. You adjust your monthly credit card payment. You spend less on unnecessary things because you are saving for a new car.
Working towards your nutrition goals shouldn’t be any different. Once you’ve set your nutrition goal, it’s your responsibility to choose foods that are in line with what you are trying to achieve. It seems so simple yet so many of us have the hardest time meeting nutrition goals. Try this – think about your goal every time you eat and consider: Is this choice in line with my goal? You’ll be pleasantly surprise how successfully you can be when you make mindful choices.
