When we prepare and pack our own meals we have complete control over what gets mixed in and poured over. We can measure as precisely as we want. We lose that when we buy prepared foods and you would be surprised how much of a difference it can make. A few heavy pours can really put a dent in your day and ultimately in your progress. Think about some of the things that can sneak in there without you realizing it: salad dressings, buttered veggies, sauces on meats, flavored butter on meats, toppings on potatoes, condiments on sandwiches, etc. So next time you are grabbing a bite from somewhere other than your kitchen, ask for it on the side so you are in control of what you eat.
